Will need proof( hard copy or email from vet) of the listed vaccinations are current to date and through reserved dates scheduled for stay :
DHLPP- this is your annual, Distemper, Hepatitis, Lepto, Parvo and Parainfluenza vaccination.
Bordetella- this vaccination is also known as kennel cough vax. This vax is usually a requested one, and not on the "normal" vax schedule.
We will not except any dog 10 days after this vax. We are trying to eliminate any chance of spread. Most vets give this a 72 hour incubation time, but we are a stickler on the 10 day just to be safe for our dogs and for your dog as well.
Rabies Vaccination- I think everyone is familiar with this one.
Flea and Tick prevention- If you don't get this through vet please write down what your dog is on and roughly last time administered.
Heartworm Prevention- if not on prevention, a negative heartworm test is sufficient for the stay.
We do not take dogs under a year old, we are not set up for puppies. When we first opened we did and we had a lot of potty training regression and nobody wants to go through that twice. The way our facility is set up, we have two play yards that we rotate dogs in and out. Most puppies are just not equipped at holding and most occasions there would be the first accident followed by multiple accidents that would most likely lead to regression. We have found that at a year most of the potty training is hard wired by then and the stay is much more focused on playing and exercise.
The Three things we need from you for a stay.
- leash and collar on dog
- vet paperwork stating dog is current on all required vaccinations a preventions.
- Food for stay, we do not supply food.
Your dog will be provided with kennel mats and blankets at night. If your dog is older, arthritic or has an injury we will leave beds in kennels during the day, We have radiant floor heating which the dogs seem to really like on cold days and we also have air conditioning for the hot summer days. We also supply bowls for food and water.
You can pack treats, but we are not big on treats, if your dog is new there is a level of stress that can upset their tummies so until they get comfortable we lay off the treats.
Any medication, supplements or teeth treats, not a problem. All we need is when and how much written down for us to follow.
